What can Grief & Loss Counselling do for you?


Working together,  I can help you develop some psychological flexibility

a different way of thinking about who and what you've lost

and what is possible in the future.


By working with me in this approach, you will learn how to better adapt to painful situations.  This is possible because although you cannot erase your pain, you can change how you relate to it.


The approach that I take is a based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and at times includes Hypnotherapy within a session.  It provides you with concrete actions and identifying goals, which will increase your motivation and allow you to start showing up to your life again in a way that you might have lost as you were experiencing your deep grief or loss.


My goal is to teach you skills and guide you in learning how to manage your grief rather than allowing your grief the way you down are paralyze you.


all of this is done within a supportive and empathetic environment where your loss and grief is honored, but where my role is to guide you to establishing skills that will help you deal with it in a way where you will come out or focused more joyful and more fulfilled in your daily life.


If your loss and sense of bereavement is something new, you might feel that the above ideas are bewildering and might seem unattainable. 


But that is where I come in. 


Together we can help you honor and work through your grief and loss and come out of it a better person on the other side.
